The Woodhouse Room

  Attending a wedding at a nearby venue and stayed for the one night. On arrival my wife and I got a great welcome from Debbie & Jim and a cup... read more of coffee each. Ordered our breakfast for the next morning and there was plenty of choice. None of the usual hotel style small milk sachets in your room at this fine establishment as they supply you with a medium sized flask of milk so you are not continually running out of milk. Simple and a very nice touch. Supplied with keys to the B&B as we were not returning till after midnight. Room was large and well equiped even with bath robes hanging in the wardrobe. We both had a good sleep on the twin beds. Shower was hot and powerful with plenty of shampoo and towels. Breakfast was a good Scottish fry up with plenty of toast and juice. Our hosts were only too happy to engage in conversation with guests during breakfast but they were never in your face or overbearing. The B&B is one minute from the M77 but you never hear the traffic. It is located in a lovely rural area in the small village of Fenwick. Debbie and Jim are ideal hosts and very professional. I would highly recommend the B&B.

Jim played with some of the greats like Denis Law & George Best and for clubs like Chelsea, Sheffield Utd and Man Utd to name but a few. Jim also scored the winning goal for that famous Scotland win in ‘67 against the England World Cup winning team. A privilege to have met him....and I’m Irish

Rooms are lovely, ours had own entrance and lovely area to sit and enjoy sunshine. Our friends room was in the house, and just as lovely. Everything you need is there for you. Debbie and Jim are so welcoming and friendly, felt as though we’d known them for ever. We all enjoyed hearing aboutJim’s football days, could have sat there all day.
Would thoroughly recommend..you will not be disappointed.

The rooms have everything you could wish for and the bed was very comfortable. Debbie and Jim made us so welcome it was more like staying with old friends. We had lovely tasty breakfasts and nothing was too much trouble for them. Langside B&B is an absolute gem that I’m so glad I found.   Just home from a lovely weekend away with my hubby to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. From the moment we arrived Debbie and Jim made us feel so welcoming they... read more told us places to eat at night . The room was lovely and clean and the bed was so comfy . We were in the room next to a guest kitchen area and were told to use it as our own as no one else was down that end so we were able to store things in the fridge area . The breakfast on both mornings was absolutely lovely and filled us up for the day ahead . Jim and Debbie were very helpful on giving us ideas on places to visit on the Saturday . Due to the current situation with COVID Jim and Debbie had all the correct precautions in place there were hand sanitizer bottles all over and cleaning wipes we will definitely be back when looking for a wee weekend away again it was like home from home More

Stayed for 1 night as we were attending a wedding at Hairlaw Farm 5 minutes up the road, our room had it’s own private entrance so was perfect for returning late at night.
Breakfast was amazing and had a lovely chat with Jim about his old football days.

You have a wonderful... read more guest house and my room, the McKellar Suite, was superb. It was an honour to be able to chat to to Jim and reminisce about his footballing days in the 60s and 70s, my era of football enjoyment. I well remember his playing career during that time and couldn’t wish to meet a nicer person. He happily signed my memorabilia and was more than happy to have photos taken with me in his memorabilia room. Debbie was the perfect host where nothing was too much trouble for her. Overall, a thoroughly, very enjoyable stay and hope to return next year. Highly recommended.
